HW neg, up to date vaccines, mild tartar on teeth, overweight, shaved hindquarters and tail. Dustin is a sedate, calm male, very gentle, inquisitive, and friendly.  He was found wandering as a stray and was not claimed so not much is known about him,. Other dogs don’t seem to matter as he shared close quarters with a male and female on his long trip to his foster home.

Dustin needs a good grooming as he is quite matted but under those mats is a lush thick coat of good texture.  He has a soft gentle face with a lighter eye, takes treats gently, wasn’t thrilled to have his teeth examined but did not struggle and let me do it.  Seems to know sit for a treat, and offered a paw as well, he does pull on lead and the ride was a little stressful for him. He was quiet, but panting during his journey.

Buddy is an 8-9 yr old neutered male who was returned to rescue after 6 years due to a change in the family. He is definitely chubby, but is on a diet. He is a happy, outgoing, friendly boy, a little goofy, who should have a fenced yard.

HW test is negative and all vaccines current. He is crate trained, housebroken, and knows the basic commands. Buddy gets along well with other dogs, but if he can get away with it, will try to dominate the other dog.

He did not live with small children, so would be best in a home with older kids only. He is in foster care in Saco, ME. For more information contact Anne Gannon

NY - Rochester - SAMANTHA - 10 year old spayed female

Samatha is a lively girl who needs a home without small pets. She is presently living with her owner's mother who has a housefull of critters: small dogs, cats, rabbit, bird so that the home is divided into zones to keep everyone safe. Samatha has no other major issues. She was adopted by the daughter from Lollipop Farm some years ago. She would be OK with another dog her own size if properly introduced.

She is used to a fenced in yard, is crate trained, well behaved in the house, walks nicely on a leash, likes to be groomed, enjoys car rides. She will allow food to be removed but has a look that indicates that she is not completely happy about it. She is an alpha girl.

OK with kids over 10 or so, loves people, craves attention. Up to date on all shots, HW negative and on preventative. Her present owner (the mother) has improved her diet, and done a lot of grooming.

I found Sammy to be a delightful and very friendly dog who lay down next to me while I was visiting and let me touch her all over. I was able to look at her teeth without a problem.

Would do best with an individual or family that could spend lots of time with her. Knowledge of dog behavior would be a plus.
